Survivor: Africa

Survivor: Africa: shot in the Shaba National Reserve in Kenya 70 kilometres north of Mount Kenya. The vegetation consists mostly of acacia woodlands, bushlands, and grasslands. The local People are the Samburu tribe is part of the Maasai group. The Samburu are semi-nomadic pastoralists who move seasonally with their cattle, along with a few sheep and goats. Boys take the animals out to graze during the day, and herd them back inside their homesteads at night. Cattle are the commodity of the Samburu, and are never eaten or sold. Fauna of the area are grevy's zebra, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, oryx, lion, gazelle and elephant.
