The Congo River

The Congo River is the largest river in the Western Central Africa and the second longest river in the whole continent of Africa. Its length is about 4,374 km. It is best known for its role in history which is called the heart of darkness by Conrad. This importance of this river includes irrigation and it is also a home of many aquatic species.
