It is approximately 1,800 km in length, arising in the center of Africa and flows easterly towards Indian Ocean. Limpopo River serves as a border for about 640 km separating the three countries, namely: South Africa from Botswana and Zimbabwe.
The major tributary of Limpopo River is Olifants / Letaba River.
