AMAZON RIVER

Amazon River is one of the largest rivers in South America. It is also known as the "River Sea" because it can carries the water of about six rivers. The Amazon River is one of the rivers which discharge fresh water into the Atlantic Ocean [6]. It is between 6,259 km to 6,712 km long and it is 11 km wide and can be up to 40 km wide. The river runs through the interior of Peru across Brazil where it empties its water into the Atlantic Ocean [7].
