On the journey off the Cuban coastline, one ship lost the battle and Columbus and some of his crew continued on with only the two remaining ships (http://columbusnavigation.com/v4.shtml).

The other two ships were also leaking and on 25 June 1503, the ships marooned on the St. Anne's Bay, Jamaica (http://columbusnavigation.com/v4.shtml).

Columbus, his fleet and his family members remained on the Jamaican island for about a year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Columbus).

In order to feed his fleet, Columbus predicted the lunar eclipse and the natives were in awe of this and continued to feed his crew members (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Columbus).

On the 07 November 1504, Columbus and his returned home to Sanlucar, Spain after travelling for about five months since 29 June 1504 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Columbus).
